Because I haven't kept up with hardly any of the creative endeavors I have in the oven over the 2015 year. I have been playing live a bunch and stuff like that, but not really dedicating myself to the Stranjo Banjo effort. I have done some recording this year, and it essentially has culminated into an EP of sorts. It is called COMPU CAVERNS. It is gonna be up on the Bandcamp site real soon, like within days. Hell...maybe even tonight so that tomorrow on Thanksgiving you can have some ripe tunage to sink your teeth into after grandma's yams. COMPU CAVERNS is chock full of dripping reverb goodness. Sure to remind you of one of your many spelunking trips into the depths of the earth's sedimentary layers, this EP is best listened to at high volume with ceremonial smoke rings floating through the air.
What are you gonna do about it? It's not like I haven't been busy. So what neither of the albums I promised out in December are ready? Something is. Well at least a lot closer than Bright Pink Buffalo Drink and It's About to Get Country Up In Here. Those two albums are getting worked on, I promise. Just lost some of the steam they started with. All the while I was pounding out an odd little album, based on writing songs that can only be 8 bars. Wonderful, dazzling, jarring, annoying, these are some of the feelings that these songs give the listener. The "official" album title is 8 Bars...or...Songs for My ADD Little Brother. It is a real treat Clark, a real treat. Probably will throw the whole thing up on Bandcamp, so watch for it there. Or, if you're the old fashioned type, like myself, who likes paper books, rotary phones, typewriters, and abacuses, then just let me know either by commenting on this post or shooting an email to stranjobanjo@yahoo.com . I will make sure you get a neat, one of a kind CD with artwork by me, that you will cherish until you die and will be the most sought after item in your will. Yeah.Derekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11464436509737172798noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7784604551464341724.post-70601224319937916852013-11-26T07:47:00.002-08:002013-11-26T07:47:58.480-08:001st Song up at Bandcamp! That's right. I went ahead and made a BandCamp page so that my loyal fans can have immediate access and downloading capabilities of all my fine tunage. You hear that fans? A catalog that is about to grow by two. Because now introducing, just in time for the holidays, two brand new albums to come out of the Stranjo Banjo universe. Well, if you like free shit, especially free music made in the privacy of one's own bedroom, then I might be able to help. I have been making music in my bedroom for quite some time. Poorly recorded, poorly mixed (if at all), poorly pieced together, and just poorly thought out, these little ditties will have you tapping your foot and throwing up a little in your mouth.

If you want to become part of the Stranjo Banjo Music Appreciation Society, you will be privy to some of the newest and crappiest of the Stranjo Banjo catalog. Not only that, you will recieve, FOR FREE, a Stranjo Banjo music sampler, with 6ish songs, remastered, and in one of a kind packaging. I would promise a membership card or something, but..................ok maybe. These tunes range from punk, country, lo-fi, and electronic bleep blop bleepers.

I am currently recording a whole slew of new crappers, and they should be available in the very near future, probably for free or maybe a buck or two. So, if you want to be part of an elite and secretive society that celebrates the soul electric, all you have to do is send me your mailing address. That's it. Pretty darn easy if you ask me. Email your address to: stranjobanjo@yahoo.comDerekhttp://www.blogger.com/profile/11464436509737172798noreply@blogger.com0
